Digital Bank Shop / Degussa Bank

My Job:
Game Design, 3D Art,

My primary job was to shape the look and feel of the digital bank shop. This includes creating rooms and seasonal designs as well as implimenting digital Front-End Content.

I also worked on a few little side projects:
- creating an immersive space for "Mesh for Teams" in Unity
- creating a talking avatar with reacts.js using OpenAi for Chatting, Azure Text to Speech and Azure Visemes for lip syncinc
- picture generation and customisation with Gen-Ai

The digital bank shop was created during the Corona pandemic and was intended to replace analogue branches. The digital bank shop is a marketing sales channel that replicates a virtual branch. Customers are in an immersive 3D Bank brranch and can use microsoft tenant to quickly and easily engage in video dialogue with customer advisors.

State: 

Due to the sale of Degussa bank to Oldenburgische landesbank, the "Digital Bank Shop" project will be stopped at the end of August.

ROGUELIKE TD (WORKING TITLE)

My Role:
Game Design, 3D Art, Programming, Sound
In the first two month, Devin and i worked simultaniously on the game. Since month 3 he got a job and iám more or less a solo developer now with him supporting whenever he can.

The game is a mixture of tower defense and dungeon crawler with roguelike elements. The player places glasses as tower into which he can fill drinks. Every glass itself has a unique shooting pattern and stats. Ever drink gives a differtent stat boost to the glass and every combination of 2 drinks gives an unique ability on top. If you defeat 3 waves of enemies in a room you get a key to unlock the next room with different enemies or the boss.

State: ongoing
There are still a few things to do for the early access status. The game itself is fun but lacks a hook and replay reason for now.

LUSTCAMP

After our previous game was cancelled, Devin, with whom I had been involved in every project so far, and I decided to set up a small project as a couple. We decided to do a dating simulation. I was mainly focussing on 3D Art and Animation and he was the main programmer. However, we balanced it out a bit and everyone did a little bit of everything

Game Description:
You play as Rica, a girl who ran away from home and arrived at a hotel site. Since you don´t have any money you are forced to pay in another way. The more daring you are with Rica the more currupted she gets.

State: cancelled
Our prototype was build after 2 Month and we reflected our work as well as the feedback we got from friends which got to play the game. We decided that this is not the game we want and can build to afford a living and abandoned it.

FARS

- First Person Arena Rogue-like Shooter

My Role:
Project Lead, Game Design, 3D Art and Anim, Vfx, Few parts of programming, Sound

As the project started i was mainly the game designer and 3D Artist, which included modeling, rigging and animation and vfx. As the project continued i got more and more into every part of and mainly programming due to the lack of motivation of most team members.

Game Description
Fars is an Arena Wave Shooter in which the player defeat waves of enemies. After every wave, the player can choose between 3 upgrade stones which he can inherit in his weapon (like materia in ffVII). Two of these stones can also be combined to obtain a unique ability.

Additional info and state.
Their is a phase after graduation where most people are highly motivated to make their own game. Unfortunately, this motivation does not last long and so this progress was way to slow and we were not be able to finish a prototype in 5 month. I prefered to cut the line instead of riding a dead horse.
The reason why the most people lost motivation is due to getting a job or tend to other things like master degree. Its only natural that what happened, happened. No hard feelings about it, just wanted to clarify that. We still friends : ).

CALMING LEAF

My Role: 3D Environment Artist

Since i was alway in a lead and game design postion in every project so far, i wanted a change of pace for me. The department i lacked the most knowledge and experience was the Art department and i choosed to be an 3D Artist in this project. So i was the environmental Artist of a group of 3. The other 2 made the UI and Character.

Game Description:

You play the owner of a tea shop that sells freshly brewed tea to her customers. The tealeaves that are needed to make the tea are self-grown, so you have a little garden in the backyard of your shop that needs tender love and managing every day. The unique part of this game is the setting. Over the day you manage you default shop with human customers. But at night you change the dimension into an afterlife setting. Now you serve customers that are based off Japanese yokais and spirits.

A CUTE HORRORHOUSE

- Time: 5 Month (2019)

My Role:

CEO, Game Design, Project Management, 2D Animation, Sound, Programming

Since we had a programmer, a 3D Artist and a 2D Artist for this project, i filled every other role. Firstly i functioned as project leader and project manager as well as game designer like every other project. Since I am not a marketing guy, our 2D Artist choose to take over social media management and i helped her with 2D Animations. I also prototyped a few gameplay mechanics to test them and made the sound of this game.

This project was do to our intern phase and serves to create a company after graduation, Sadly our 2D Artist left which leaves this game abandoned.

EVOLUTION ZOO

My Role:

Group Lead ("CEO"), Project Management, Game Design, A bit 3D Animation

The main goal in this project was to simulate a real working structure with CEO and departments. I was the CEO and project manager. Since i had the most overall game knowledge, i was the game designer, too. So my main task was to instruct and to manage crisis.

Game Description:

In this game you play a zoo manager. Your duty is it to get as many customers as possible to earn the most money. The unique Feature in this game is the crossing of Animals. If you do that, you get hybrids, that even evolve to bigger ones.

ERBAUER VON CANT

My Role

My part in this project was mainly the gameplay logic like inventory, ressource management and trading, as well as win condition.

A digital adaptation to play the boardgame "The Settler of Catan" on android devices and PC while in the same Local Area Network.

This was my first experience for a group project. I was mainly the group leader, vision owner and game designer. I worked as an allrounder, too. So i made the art for the level, made the 2D animations with the enemy images given to me and programmed the enemy and boss behaviour. 

Game Description:

You are Nyr who is searching for her little sister. Defeat Bosses to get unique abilities to advance and become a valkyrie to safe your little sister.

Game Description
You are a girl who needs to eat cake to be heavy enough for a scale to regocnize you, to open the door to the next lvl. The bombs are vegetables inside the cake and if you eat them, you lose 1 life.

Sadly my game doen´t work properly anymore, so the picture only shows the endboss.
